Respected seniors and friends!
Hi everyone! I really need your help regarding my project on "making employers organizations responsive to workers' requirements." Can anyone send some links or materials for the same? Basically, I need to write about the responsibilities and duties of employers for workers, etc. If anyone has any material or a good link that would be helpful, though I tried Google, I was not able to find exactly what I want. Kindly help me out, please.
Belated Happy Diwali and Happy Ed.

Hi Seema,
As I understand your question, you want to know what management should do for the workers' betterment or to create a good industrial relations (I.R.) environment.
There are three aspects of Industrial relations:
1. To maintain a healthy relationship between management & workers.
2. To maintain industrial peace or to avoid industrial conflicts (settlement of industrial conflicts also).
3. Development of industrial democracy.
Since this is your project, you may visit various companies to find out how they are creating an environment for maintaining industrial democracy. Alternatively, you may refer to the following books:
- C.B. Memoria
- Ratna Sen
- Arun Monappa
Additionally, you may study topics such as:
- Workers' participation in management
- Workers' education & training
- Ethical codes & industrial relations
That's it.

Hi Seema,
What Lata said is absolutely correct, but I want to share something.
I recently completed a Field Work Project at a Mahindra Nashik-based plant on 'EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT.'
During this project, I found that the manager of the company has a REAL DEVELOPMENTAL APPROACH. Typically, executive development is associated with the development of Executives, Officers, and Managers. However, the manager is taking all the measures by giving the workers a chance to develop themselves according to their level, alongside the Executives.
Why I am sharing this is that while carrying out activities, the manager has made the best efforts to remove the differentiation between WORKERS and MANAGEMENT. As a result, the workers are so satisfied that there is no TRADE UNION up until now, as the manager has succeeded in creating a SENSE OF BELONGINGNESS among the workers and the employees.
"WHEN YOU SUCCEED IN WINNING IN SUCH A WAY, THERE IS BETTER IR."
I have shared this practical experience with you so that you can use it as an example without disclosing the company's name. It will provide a more precise answer to your project or whatever it may be.
If you still want to refer to some book, then:
"HUMAN CAPITAL (ISSUE MAY BE JULY OR AUGUST) - WHERE AN ARTICLE ON 'EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM' IS THERE. IT EXPLAINS HOW MANAGEMENT CAN WIN OVER THEIR EMPLOYEES AND WORKERS BY GIVING PREFERENCE TO THEIR REFERENCES IN RECRUITMENT. THIS HELPS CREATE BELONGINGNESS AMONG THEM, WHICH FURTHER HELPS IMPROVE INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS IN THE ORGANIZATION."
I hope you have found the answer.
