hi i require a detailed hierarchy for an HRD along with the designation and nature of job of the employee in a flow chart form - which i was unable to locate through google even! please help out, i would be very grateful.
thank you.

hello
First give some details about the background of the company.
The hierarchy differs from company to company.
there is no set pattern which can be applied to every company. yes the basic structure may be same but then there are certain specific factors too.

thank u Fauzia for the prompt reply - c it is not explicit to an organization, i require a flowchart it could be of any organization that one has all i need to do in it is to impliment Information System (IS) into that hierarchy to cut it short and make it more effective and efficient.
Regards,
Nadir

Generally
the flow chart would be as follows
junior manager hr
manager hr
senior manager hr
general manager hr
vice president hr
president hr
however few companies may skip as per their requirement
any on else any comments
beekay

hello
i guess if you are discussing HRD flowchart from the perspective of implementing IS then divide the hiearhy on the basis of the subsystems of HR- Recruitment, Training, Compensation, Appraisal & IR for each subsystem you can have hiearchy as executive, Senior Executive, manager, senior manager, vice presdient, president HR depending upon the size of the organization the level of hiearchy would vary.
All the best

hi,
i agree with prof sahai in dividing the hiearhy on the basis of the sub functions of hr like Recrutiment, T&D, Compensatiion, IRor Employee Relations but i feel the best entry level would be as a EXecutive Trainee or Management Trainee. Many of the best corporates like Hindustan Latex Ltd, NTPC,ONGC,GAIL etc etc take their HR people as a Trainee and then mould them as required.Once you cross the age for it , you are never going to get recruited with those big shots specialy in HRD Dept.
best regrds

WHere I worked last this is the org structure for the HR Dept.
Executive - Senior Executive - Asst Manager - Manager - Sr Manager - Asst GManager - Vice President - Sr Vice President.
Since there are 8 levels you can easily guess that it is a manufacturing firm.

Hello Fauzia, This is really great, precisely what i required to impliment an Information Sysytem your attatchments have been remarkably just what i was looking for thank you SO MUCH! Regards Nadir
Dear Nadir,
You can show organisation flow chart in this way
1.Unit Head
2.Functional Head
3.Departmenatal Head
4.Sectional Head
5.Sub Sectional Head.
In the same chart you can go more details also:-
