Hi Members, Can some one help me in understanding what is the difference between IJR (Internal Job Recruitments) and IJP (Internal Job Promotions)?? Looking forward to responses.

Depends on push/pull. An employee may ask for a transfer to another process/function or if an organization employs skills maps, then it can also move a person laterally based on his skillsets/work experience, etc.

Internal Job Recruitments (IJR) and Internal Job Promotions (IJP):

The only difference would be that in IJR, an employee may transition into a new role without any grade or band change (i.e., PROMOTION), whereas in IJP, due to an internal job posting, an employee undergoes a selection process and is placed in a higher band/grade.

Hope this clarifies.
