Hi,

Thanks for the useful information. Can you please let me know what the rules and regulations are set by the Ministry of External Affairs to be followed by recruitment agencies in starting up US recruitment operations, such as bank guarantees, licensing, etc.? Kindly provide me with details on semi-skilled, skilled, and white-collar jobs.

Anuradha

Thank you so much for the information. However, I feel that it is only 50% of what you have gathered. There is more to it, such as phone etiquettes, US accent, timings, geographies, knowledge of the US market, and using portals like Dice and Career Builder. Major processes, etc.

Hmm, good presentation. Looking at the current market scenario, I guess only contract positions will remain, and permanent positions will be eliminated. If we want to enter the US recruitment market, we should be aware of not only the points provided in the presentation but also many other aspects. They even sometimes offer one-month or five-day contract positions. We should be prepared to handle those candidates. I don't think they would really be ready to take on such short-term projects.

Hi jagvimdhir,

You did a great job man. Really that’s excellent and I appreciate you a lot.

Its so compressed and easy format, every one can understand to fast.

Note : some comments stating that many things was missing – Hello boss US staffing is not a cup of tea to drink in a sip. As far as basic knowledge is concern this PP is excellent and jagvimdhir did a good job.
So if you guys well understanding about the rest could you please post here. :-D

Hi,

Thank you for sharing such useful information. I recently joined a company as a US IT Recruiter. Now, I need to search for the consultants' resumes. Could anyone help me with how to access the consultants' profiles? We have plenty of openings, but currently, I don't have any consultants available on the spot. Please assist me. Those with experience, please try to help me, or you can reach me at 630-847-6854 - Ashok.

I think you are right. It's just half done, but from my experience and knowledge, I don't think it's necessary to speak in a US accent with the consultants. Moreover, you can't grasp everything at once. The information I provided here is just basic information for recruiters in this industry to be aware of. It would be great if you could add a few more things if you think so and post the amended PowerPoint presentation. It's all about sharing your knowledge and experience with everyone here. As we get real-time work exposure, we can learn more and more.

Suggestions from everyone are welcome. :)

Hi Jagvimdhir,

This is an excellent presentation, but at one point, I can't understand why contract employees earn 30% more than permanent employees. Before that slide, you mentioned that by recruiting employees on a contract basis, the company can cut costs. How is this possible? Please explain.

Overall, the slide is good.

I agree with you, Prashant. There is no set rule that a contractor will get 30% extra. I appreciate the work done on preparing the PPT. However, US recruitment is a big ocean, and this is just a tip of it. Like, nothing has been spoken about the time zones, various types of taxes, corp-corp, employee benefits, etc. Once again, great job done on the presentation, but it's just the tip of an iceberg.

Hi Prashant,

Imagine the rate that a contractor makes on a daily basis compared to the amount an employee makes on a monthly basis. Furthermore, the contractor is entitled to the same benefits as a full-time employee. In the long term, a contractor can potentially earn more than a full-time employee.

Company needs to provide training and development to its permanent employees, whereas there is no need to spend on contractors in this context. Contractors are hired for a certain period or a specific project, so the company can pay them for their work. Permanent employees, on the other hand, receive a fixed salary even if there are very few projects to work on.

I believe this is why companies prefer to contract to save costs.

Hi Anu,

You need to have a company registered in the USA to run the payroll on behalf of the consultants and provide payments on a Net 45, Net 30, or Net 60 basis. Initially, you need to establish the company in any US location and focus on staffing from India by obtaining the requirements list from the client's end.

Santosh
