Dear All,

I would like to know that, in INDIA, there are many issues which are presenting new challenges to everyone. I think no one can deny this fact.

My view today is, amidst all these happenings with high security concerns, without addressing them to solve such issues, we often observe many POLICE officers of S.I /C.I and a few constables being occupied with collecting fines from bike riders, car drivers, auto drivers, and lorry drivers for various reasons.

DO YOU THINK THAT, SETTING ASIDE ALL ELSE, A S.I/C.I OF LAW AND ORDER SITTING IN A JEEP AND ORDERING HIS SUBORDINATES DURING RUSH HOURS TO STOP PEOPLE AND COLLECT FINES, IMPOSING PENALTIES IS IMPORTANT? DOES OUR INDIAN CONSTITUTION/LAW GIVE THEM THE PERMISSION TO OPENLY LOOT PEOPLE?

CAN A LAW AND ORDER POLICE OFFICER WRITE CHALLANS/IMPOSE FINES on VEHICLE RIDERS? THEN, WHAT IS THE ROLE OF TRAFFIC POLICE? WHAT ARE THEY DOING? COMING ONTO THE ROADS AND OPENLY LOOTING PEOPLE... CAN'T THE GOVERNMENT STOP THIS MENACE OF LOOTING PEOPLE? WE MAINLY SEE THIS MENACE ON SATURDAY NIGHTS BECAUSE THE NEXT DAY IS SUNDAY... THESE SITUATIONS EVEN CAUSE HUGE TRAFFIC JAMS... BOTH TRAFFIC POLICE AND LAW AND ORDER ENGAGE IN LOOTING PEOPLE.

PLEASE CONTINUE THIS DISCUSSION AND SHARE MORE VIEWS ON THIS TO FURTHER EDUCATE PEOPLE.

REGARDS,
RAM

This is not just in India, it is a world wide issue. The motorist is a soft easy target for raising revenue from, usually for very trivial offences. :(
