Dear Senoirs,
I have recently joined in a new company and take a charge of overseas assignments too..
Mainly the drawback is that the company doesn't have the basic training system for their employees. In that case, company has given an assignment that I have to prepare over all training module for the employees which gives the best result to the company.
Mainly, Its a manufacturing sector and employees are working from different nationals. Most of them are illiterate but they are the hard workers.
No induction and orientation has been followed for staffs and Operator as well
Main concern is that none of them are much aware about the safety, health and hygienic issues.
Concerning all these, what kind of training methods should i follow and how shall i prepare the training module? since the training and development concepts is new to me...
Regards

Dear Chandru,

This can be a challenging as well as satisfying assignment. The induction for all employees can be the same. This training should give the new joinees an idea about the various departments, how these departments functions, the organisational chart, etc. Safety, health and Hygiene training should be given to those employees who are affected by it directly. If the numbers are very high, then you should focus first on training those who are facing health and safety issues daily. And then cascade the training down to those not affected by it so much.

Since you say that there are also new joinees and existing employees from various nationalities, working side by side, you need to have a training on intercultural awareness too. We see that even within India, people from various states working together have their own cultural differences which can hamper work in the organisation. Imaging people from various nationalities working together. People from different nationalities have differing opinions and work ethos and beliefs. When people from different nationalities come together, they find working together through these different beliefs to be difficult. There could also be misunderstandings.

I conduct such trainings for various companies including Volkswagen and it can help people from various nationalities work together without friction. Do call me on 9820314311 or email on for further help or for conducting training for your company.

All the Best.
