Dear amteksteel, Professonal tax is a state tax and not applicable in all states of the country. so it is possible that PT is not be mentioned in the sal slip,if not applicable.

You can check this is original or fake by checking his bank account statement. In his pay slip A/c number is mentioned means the company is depositing salary in that A/c. through RTGS/Cheque.

Bank can not disclose a bank account details to a third party party without written consent of the customer. It is against the secrecy policy of the bank functioning in India.

I feel this pay slip is manipulated. None of the HR will prepare the structure as it shows. Basic is above 6500/- so PF contributions should be 780 or 12% on actual basic. HRA is more than the Basic. As other colleagues suggested for this salary there are chances for TDS but that doesn't matter. Coz that shall be calculated and deducted from next month onwards as Payslip stands for the month of April.
I feel as you have cross checked with the HR of the company. If possible take the confirmation on the mail (from Official Mail ID) and request the candidate to get the bank statement. So it shall be clarified.

When in doubt, ask for three months salary slips and same duration bank statement. You'll be able to corroborate both. Whether online remittance or cheque payment, both transactions will show up. If he's being paid in cash, he's not worth it as a hire.

This salary slip seems to be fake on simple reasons, however you need to check the validity through official /references check sources.
1) Employer contribution against PF is mentioned in salary slip which I have not seen anywhere.
2) Sodexo passes are mentioned which is normally not done as it is exempted from tax, if put in salary slip it will be taxable.
3) PF contribution should be 780/- if min basic is considered 6500/- or 12% of actual basic. Here it is wrong.
4) There are other reimbursments which normally are not paid thriugh salary slip if the bills are produced (like books)
