Dear All,
Currently I am working with one of big MNC,I joined 2-3 months back.Prior to joining I submitted soft copies of all my educational certificates as it is to my current employer.
At the time of joining i submitted my xerox copies of all my educational certificates.
But in past I edited my mark sheets, just as time pass.
But now i am afraiding that by mistake i submitted xerox copy of those edited mark sheets(not sure but i submitted soft copies as it is).
If my edited xerox copy found will this cause any issue.ed
Till now no one has communicated regarding this.
Will it be good to tell hr from my side or shall i wait for HR's response then only i need to take action on this as i am not sure that i submitted edited educational certificate.
Please suggest what shall i do now.
Thanks

See before submitting any documents to HR Department check twice because if they find any thing wrong then your job may become risky. If they finds that you can edit your marksheet then you can even edit the companies document provided to you and the company may have to suffer. One more thing in most of the companies if you submit any document then they dont return you back.
One thing you can do. You just check the marks of the original marksheet and go to HR and ask them I want to check weather I have submitted my education documents or not. And look into it proprly. If you find that the marksheets are wrong then tell them all the fact and apologize to them and submit it them the correct marksheet and carry your Original marksheet to show it to them and you can ask them to cross verify it to if they find anything wrong.

Hi Roshni,
Thanks for your input.
Shall I go ahead after HR's response.(as I am not sure whether submitted copies are edited by me or not).
Moreover can university takes any legal action on this if they found such cases.
Please suggest,
Thanks

Regarding university i cant commit you. But you have to check it yourself which marksheet u hv provided them. Even you go ahead and tell them the fact then u wil can b in trouble and also if they come accross with it then too u can b in trouble.
u can do 1 Thing u can solve it on ground level if any junior person in HR dept is ur friend then u can ask him/her to cross check it and let u know without taking the issues to higher authority.
i can only suggest u. But how u do its in your hand.

Tell them you lost your original certificates and thus need the copies to get others and file for an FIR. And next time, direct your photoshopping skills to better use.

It is the grave mistake of the person who verified your xerox copies of certificates, however you need not bother about soft copies, some time while scrutinizing no one will take copies. However doing forgery or correcting the certificates is an offense, your services can be terminated, in case if it is major mistake/major correction. Since u hv already joined, u can continue without referrig it to yr HR....regards--NVS
