Dear Medha,

As per your Information (our org. does not have a fixed timing bracket like 9 - 5, its rather dependent on the no. of working hours)

you can develop your own policy based on the following information.

work out the hours basis policy.

How it works ( Total No of Working Hours per Month/ 8 Hours (Per Day).

For Example

1) Total No of Working hrs is Actual 208/8 (26 days * 8 hrs) then you have to pay full month salary.

2) Total No of Working hrs is 204/8 (25.5 days * 8 hrs) then 1/2 will be the LOP

Like that.

But you also take care the your company policy and other following information.

1)whether Salary is calculated for 30/31(inculding sunday ) days or 26 days ( exclueding Sundays).

2) if your working on the above example you have take care of Extra

hrs calculation . Some people are working atleast 10 hrs per day. then

you have to pay (over time allowance. or you have make calculation

workings. (using if funtions in excel )

If the above informations are use ful kindly let me know & kindly mail your policy on the above to

Hi Medha,
Half day leave is only applicable for Causal Leave and rest of other leaves are full day.
Either it can be first half of the office hours or the later one.
Two half day leave can be considered as one full day Causal Leave. So in that way you can keep track of CL.
Hope your problem in answered.
