In Contract labour Act... is there any rules that an employee can work only limited hours in overtime?

Dear Member,
The Contract Labour ( R&A) Act, 1970 do not have any provision relating to working hours & overtime time. Although under the Rules we are required to maintain the OT register. Form No. may be different in central & state rules. Rules are also silent on this topic but while going through conditions of licence this topic of hours of work & other conditions of service has been touched. Therefore go through conditions relating to grant of your licence.

MY QUESTION

Hello
Contract Labour does not have provisions for working hrs & overtime. however, the same are governed by State Minimum Wages Rules & Shops & Estab Act (State specific). Please refer these Acts for more information.
