I left a job with my previous employer during August 07 and joined my new employer from thereon. I have paid tax on the basis of my salary at both the places. Is it necessary to submit a Form 12 B to my new employer. Is it not enough that I submit the Form 16 from my previous employer directly to IT dept while filing my returns.
What would be the additional benefit that I get if I submit my Form 12 B to my new employer.
And finally one question, how to fill that Form 12B.
I would be very much thankful if somebody can address my queries.

hi,
form 12b is not mandatory to be filed to new employer. in the section 192 there is only written that employee if joining another employer in the middle of a financial year then he "may" provide form 12B.
