Dear all, I was terminated by my company becos i did not report for work after they changed my schedule. i was supposedly on OFF days and wasnt aware that it has been change to admin duties. They did send me an email abt the change however I was away becos I am on OFF days, and without internet service I was again unaware of the emails. it was only after i reached back home to see the email that states letter of termination of employment by my company. I called the HR and was told that I have to prepare approximately $800 to pay the company because i was terminated and failed to pay the \"notice pay\". My question is, am i liable to pay the company? my contract did not mention that the \'notice pay\' is equivalent to 1 whole month of basic salary. Pls help to answer my doubts. Thank you very much!!!

Dear
Company has terminated your salary without notice ,so they will be requiring to pay
notice pay in lieu of notice.if one day you have not reported for duty ,how they can terminate your services.it is illegal and they to pay you one month basic as notice pay as per term and conditions of appointment

How many off days did you have?
It appears to be rather harsh that they gave instant termination orders withut even giving you chance to answer/clarify.
If that be the case the company has failed to follow procedures for termination.
You are supposed to be given a chance to explain the absence or misconduct etc?
One sided dismissals will be held bad in law.
