Hi Sri
My company also use sodex ho pass, but the amount of previlage varies according to the employee salary, say for eg if an employee draws salary of Rs11000, we give him sodex ho previlege for rs.2000, so he can be benefited from income tax, employees earning below 10k sodex ho is give from 1500. so in short previlege of sodex is given on the base of salary and getting benefited from income tax.

Hi Jayashree
You can opt for Sodexho card not coupon
Because coupons have to be counted evry time the employee uses
Sodexho card is like a debit or credit card which can be swiped lik anyother debit or credit cards
there is no worry of validity
this card can be recharged from time to time
the balance can be checked in the net
it is very much user friendly than the cards
Accor also issues ticket restaurents but it doesnot have card
In this market Sodexho occupies 80% share ... rest is Accor

Hi,
In my organisation, we used to calculate Rs .50/- per each working day in terms of sodexhos, and few months back, one of the employees from sodexhos department has explained that government has formulated the policy at Rs 75/- per each working day again in terms of sodexho.
And someone whose salary was below Rs 10,000 were not eligible for any amount of sodexhos. We used to follow this i our organisation.
Regards,
Rekha.

Hi,
As per the income tax rules - if company is providing the food it is not taxable. Food pass started on this clause. As per the rules company can provide to a maximum of Rs.13,200/- food passes (per annum). Till this amount it is tax free to the employee. Above this it is taxable.
Each company will provide food passes on this basis. But if your company decides to give more you can. but the employee does not get the higher benefits.

Hi, The limit has been increased from Rs.40 to 75/- (per day) last year. Hence you can issue food coupons upto 2000/- per month which shall not be taxable. Venkatesh
