Dear Pournima,
You can train your operators on:
a) Understanding the concept of communication (please make it a note that it is more than x% tone, y% body language and z% words).
b) Listening Skills
c) questioning skills
d) Interpersonal skills
The end result of the communication is motivation. Your staffs should motivate another party whoever they dealing with.
I have been conducting training programmes on communication skills for the past decade. If you wish to outsource training, you can count on me.
To make you aware of my training activities, I have attached my Training e-Brochure to this post.
Thanks,
Dinesh V Divekar

The best way to make a tailor-made training programme is to base it on a task analysis. In task analysis, you have to first write down the job profile of the various categories of persons you are going to train. The second step is to jot down the tasks performed by various categories of persons to be trained. Against each task you may note down the Knowledge, Skill and Attitude required to carry out that task. Once that analysis is done, you can derive from it the training needs. Based on the training needs you can decide the objective. From objective you can come to a conclusion about the topic of training. If you need an example to be worked out you may post here the job analysis and list of tasks to be performed relevant to the job. I shall work out and show the other steps such as the knowledge, skill and attitude requirements, the training need, training objective and the topics of training to be convered.
