Dear HR Folks,
As I see that the number of registered members as of now is 9981, just 19 short of ten thousand, it's a MILESTONE for us.
Would like to congratulate and thank CHR for this brilliant forum, for his foresight and the time and efforts he has invested in this forum. Hats off to him.
Feeling nostalgic as how a year ago I stumbled upon this site like you all have, and at that time we were just 1000 members. It's been a great learning journey for all of us.
This forum has been enriched by the following members whom I would like to thank personally for their contribution to this forum:
Leo: He is simply brilliant, and his answers/postings have helped us immensely. What I like about him is that his answers are really comprehensive and to the point.
Bala: He has posted the highest number of postings.
Dr. J. Mahanta: His posts have a lot of depth and intensity with threads of discussions.
Sunayana: I'm glad that she has joined the industry.
Ajmal Mirza: Lately, he hasn't been to the forum, and in the initial days, he was the driver of the discussions. Hope to have him back soon. :D :D
Would like to thank the following members who were drivers of discussion in the initial days:
Afolabi Ajayi
Thesysthink
Atomleaf
Scare_crow
GG
Rajnish Borah
Bob Gately
Col
Ed Llarena, Jr.

Hope they come back to the forum soon...we all are missing them.
Also would like to thank the following members:

Hi Rajat,
Thanks for starting this thread. It has been a marvelous journey and I hope we'll continue on the learning path for years to come. I think I can remember each of those members mentioned by Rajat giving me some piece of advice about how to improve the forum - some have pushed me to do better when I got lazy :icon1: And I have enjoyed all of that and more.
Ten years from now I can't imagine what technology would do this medium of communication but i know things will always move forward when people come together and do the very thing makes us human - our ability to teach and pass on knowledge in one form or the other. As long as there are people willing to share, to teach, to discuss we'll always find new ways to join hands.
I hardly get any credit for this website - and I mean it in the most humble way. Okay, I'll take credit for keeping it running smoothly but that hardly is the foundation of this forum.
It's not even the immense amount of data collected over the years - it's the people who have come together and joined hands. Someone wise once said that "If I were founding a university I would begin with a smoking room; next a dormitory; and then a decent reading room and a library. After that, if I still had more money that I couldn't use, I would hire a professor and get some text books."
I guess all we did was create that smoking room without the smoke.
Long way to go... lots of things to do… Have fun in life.
Warm regards,
CHR

Hi,
We ought to celebrate the 10,000th member! :D This community has grown amazingly fast, not to mention their contributions. A great applause to all members and a special one to CHR. I wouldn't be half as HR literate as I am today without this site. :D
Regards,
Vinisha.

Hi all,
Please join me in wishing Lilly Avinash - our ten Grand Member! With this mail, request Avinash to introduce himself to all. CHR - May it would be a good idea if we confer upon him a special rank :D
Once again thank you all for enriching this forum with your threads of discussions and ideas. As they rightly say, shared knowledge is knowledge gained.
Cheers, Rajat

Hi CHR,
Thank you a million for starting this CiteHR. I too stumbled upon it quite recently and am so addicted now that I spend a considerable hour despite my busy schedule browsing. While traveling yesterday, I just had a stray thought: what if I had a chance to meet you, Adnan, Rajat, Dr. Prageetha, Dr. Manisha, Swastik, Autumnleaf, Bala, and all the regular contributors? How would it be? Give a thought on this. We should have more regular debates on issues, and someday in the future, why not have a CiteHR get-together?

Hi Friends,
I join Kusum in saying that it would be better if we have a CiteHR get-together. I know not all can meet in person, but at least those in their respective states/cities, like AP (Hyderabad), MH (Mumbai), etc., could meet up so that we can learn a lot from each other. Alternatively, we could share contacts of our friends based on their regions.
Just give this some thought.
Regards,
Julie
