Hi Anamika,
General office rules:
1. Do the allotted work (Primary rule) :D
2. Be punctual (both in time and out time).
3. Avoid gossip (it saves time and energy).
4. Inform the concerned person well in advance if you are planning to take leave. (Health-related issues - exceptions).
That's it for now. I will update if I come across anything.
Thanks & regards,
Hari - HR consultant

Hi,
Little precise:
1. Know your profile (for better role-playing).
2. Know others' profiles (for proper communication and task management).
3. Use time properly.
4. Know your organization and its A to Z.
5. In difficulty, access seniors (for better and timely customer care).
6. Know the proper discipline and decorum to be followed and maintained.
Hope this is as required.
Thank you,

Respectable members,
Greetings. I am working as an HR executive with a newly established education center where there are no general office rules and discipline regarding each and every activity. Before my joining this company, my problem is that I am well-versed with general HR activities but do not have any experience in how to create HR rules for daily activities. For example, issues like people not signing the muster in the specified column, self-correcting mistakes in the muster, failing to inform if they are on leave or on duty, spending too much time in the cafeteria, creating noise at the reception despite reminders, always having genuine reasons for being late, and complaining if the company provides any benefits such as transportation or meals.
Please help me by providing your valuable guidance on establishing rules, discipline structures, and an HR manual.

Hi,
Have a long session with your MD and seniors to explain why it is required for Organizational Development (OD) and Discipline, proper Human Resource Management. I am sure they will guide you and provide suggestions to establish any rules and regulations.
Be open with your seniors and communicate that without such policies, you are at a disadvantage, and there is no management control over the staff.
Thank you,
