Hi Friends,

I am leaving my company where I have worked for 3.5 years. I am going to the USA on an H1 visa. I have a few queries related to this:

1. Is it a good idea to withdraw my PF since I am leaving the country? If yes, please let me know the process of withdrawing the PF.
2. Also, please explain the pros and cons of withdrawing the PF.

Thanks,
Naveen

Hi Naveen,

You need to fill the PF withdrawal form. If you are living in India, it won't be a problem; you will get your PF money directly into your bank account. If you do not withdraw that amount, in terms of benefits, you will receive interest on that amount.

Hi,

As per my suggestion, you have to withdraw the Provident Fund. You need to fill out Form Number 19 and 10C for Provident Fund withdrawal. If you plan to work in the same country, then you can only transfer your Provident Fund from one region to another. As per your email, you are going abroad for employment.

I hope your query will be resolved.

Thanks & Regards,
Sachin
