Dear All,
Kindly help me in providing guidelines to set up an Induction Process. I am associated with a Consulting Firm working in the area of Logistics/Supply Chain. We do have a joining kit that states the various information that a joiner may provide and also the various forms (like PF, Insurance, Investment, etc.) that they may fill out. Please let me know what else to incorporate in this procedure.
Thanks in advance for your valuable inputs.

Dear Pavitra,
You need to categorize the induction into two parts:
1. Org Induction - Joining, HR policies, meeting key people, knowing the product, seeing the production/office, and gaining knowledge of the other departments.
2. Functional Induction - All about the things the incumbent needs to know about the work that he needs to do. Make a separate induction program for Sales/Marketing/Production/HR/Finance, etc.
The theme line should focus on providing the 20% of information that is needed 80% of the time. Consider customizing the requirements accordingly.

Dear Pavitra,
The other forms that you can include in the joining kit can be Employee Personal Information form, which could include personal details of the employees in regards to their contact details, educational & work experience details. The other forms could be ID card Requisition form, gratuity form, NDA form (Non-Disclosure Agreement form), and bank account opening form.
