Sir, I am Anil, Sales Deputy Manager. For the past year, I have been under suspension. My full salary has not been paid, and the disciplinary inquiry has not commenced in the past year. The bank has now paid 50% of the salary. Please advise me and direct me to the bank circular regarding the full salary payment after one year.

Normally, after 90 days of suspension, the employee is entitled to receive 75% of their salary as a subsistence allowance. However, under the Kerala Payment of Subsistence Allowance Act, there is another provision that beyond 180 days of suspension, the suspended employee shall be paid a subsistence allowance of 100% of their salary. The rules concerning the payment of subsistence allowance for a bank employee will adhere to the respective bank's employees' disciplinary proceedings regulations. Furthermore, individual banks will have separate regulations for clerical staff as well as officers, as it is not required to be uniform across all banks.
