Dear Seniors,

I am working with one of the metal manufacturing process companies. Two of our employees have been with us for a very long time and have crossed the superannuation age last month. However, the management wishes to continue employing them through legal means due to their family circumstances and their loyalty.

I need your kind suggestions on the possible ways to address the above query and the other formalities that need to be completed.

These two employees reached superannuation age last month but are continuing in service. Have you decided on how long they will be continuing in service? Accordingly, you may issue an order stating that, in exigencies of service, the retirement of these employees has been deferred by the period decided. If there is no decision on the period, then you can mention it as "till further orders." In either case, they are continuing in the post and pay being held by them. If there is to be any change in it, then it would require a relook into the order to be issued.
