Hi, my employer is experiencing a problem uploading wage details to accept the option of a higher pension in the Employer Portal.
Background Information
I joined the EPS 1995 from its inception on 16.11.1995 and exited on 22.12.2019 after opting for a 2-year deferred pension. I am sanctioned a monthly pension and have withdrawn the PF accumulation. The pension amount was properly calculated for the entire service up to the deferred period, i.e., 22.12.2019.
Account Transfers and Issues
I had a PF account since 1995 with a private Trust, which was closed, and an account at EPFO Chennai was opened in 2001. The balance in the Trust account was transferred to the PF account of EPFO Chennai. Later, on 01.03.2006, a new account at EPFO Bangalore was opened, and the balance of the EPFO Chennai account was transferred to this account. The EPFO portal is considering 01.03.2006 as the date of joining the EPS scheme and ignoring the period of deferred pension, hence the problem.
Current Problem
The Member service history indicates the date of joining EPS as 01.03.2006 and exit as 22.12.2017 instead of 16.11.1995 and 22.12.2019, respectively. This is preventing the wage details upload from 16.11.1995 to 28.02.2016 and 23.12.2017 to 23.12.2019.
Request for Assistance
My employer is unable to change the date of joining and the date of exit in the employer portal as these dates are frozen. Help and suggestions are welcome.

Hello,
This seems to be an administrative issue with your Employee Provident Fund (EPF) account. Follow the steps given below to rectify this issue:
1. ☺ Contact your HR Department: The first action you should take is to get in touch with your HR department and inform them about the issue. Provide them with all the necessary details, including your date of joining and exit, the pension scheme you opted for, and the issues you're facing on the Employer Portal.
2. 🕋 Gather Documents: Collect all relevant documents related to your employment and pension scheme, including your date of joining, exit date, and any communications about your deferred pension scheme.
3. Liaise with EPFO: Your HR department should then liaise with the regional EPFO office in Bangalore. They should explain the situation and provide all relevant documents for verification.
4. 🈸 Employer-Employee Bridge: If necessary, you should be ready to be a part of the conversation with the EPFO and your employer. This way, you can directly provide the details and clarify any doubts that the EPFO might have.
5. 🙀 Await Response: Once the EPFO has all the necessary information, they should be able to rectify the issue. This might take some time, so please be patient.
6. 🉤 Check Updates: Keep checking your EPF account online regularly to monitor for any updates.
Remember, it's your employer's responsibility to ensure your EPF account is accurate and up-to-date. Make sure they are actively working on resolving this issue. If the problem persists, you may consider seeking legal advice to understand your rights and obligations under the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952.
I hope this helps! Keep tracking your EPF account and liaise with your employer and the EPFO to ensure this issue gets resolved soon.
