Hello everyone. I need help with the apprenticeship act. Is it mandatory to register the organisation under this act? If yes, Not-for profit research based organisation fall into this.

All establishments that have facilities to take trainees shall register under the Apprentice Act and take on apprentices. A research organization can very well accept a few research scholars and provide them with training in their activities. As per the Apprenticeship Amendment Rules 2019:
In the principal rules, in rule 7B,
(i) for sub-rule (1), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:
"(1) The employers having four or more workers shall only be eligible to engage apprentices, and engagement of apprentices by establishments having thirty or more workers shall be obligatory."
