I initially raised a PF transfer request with attestation through my present employer. The transfer request was rejected, citing an error that my father's name was different. I am now attempting to resubmit the transfer request after updating my father's name, but the option for the present employer is disabled in the attestation through checkbox. Why is the present employer option disabled for me?

Hi,

Probable reasons may be:

Current employer's option will remain disabled if your employer hasn't made any contribution to the PF account.

The member can file an online claim through his present employer only if his present employer has registered digital signatures on the Online Transfer Claim Portal (OTCP) of EPFO, subject to the availability of the member details pertaining to previous employment in the EPFO database.

So please let us know if any of these are applicable to your case?

  • Hi, I was able to request the first time through my present employer, but the request was rejected by the field office due to an issue with my father's name. I have now corrected my father's name, but I am still unable to select my present employer.

    Thanks,
    Ashish
