My resignation has been approved by HR, and I have received an email from the Exit team mentioning my last working day, which is April 6th. After my resignation was approved, I took 4 days of medical leave. In this case, will there be any issue in obtaining a release letter? Kindly assist.

Hi, it is company-specific. Yes, in the normal course, employers insist on no leave during the notice period. However, leave on the grounds of sickness is genuine, and there is no other option for the employee. In such cases, the employer may either adjust the leave against the leave balance and relieve you on 6th April or ask you to extend the notice period by 4 days. It all depends on your roles and responsibilities, how long you were employed with them, etc.
