Sir, I have completed my job at SIPL plant in Purulia, WB for 5 years and 6 months. Now, at the age of 62, I am willing to take retirement from my job. Am I entitled to receive gratuity from the organization? When I joined the organization, I was 57 years old.

As per the Payment of Gratuity (PG) Act, you are entitled to gratuity if you have 5 years of continuous service, regardless of your nature of job (regular or otherwise), designation, etc.
If the employer refuses to pay gratuity, you can approach the controlling authority under the PG Act to claim your gratuity.
