Dear Team, I need a policy where we can take some amount from staff that can be utilized for their welfare, like a Staff Welfare Fund. We are planning to deduct an amount ranging from Rs. 25 to Rs. 100 every month, which can be used for either medical purposes or picnic parties. Please help to share such a policy or format.
Thanks,
Sachin

Hi, Staff welfare means it has to be sponsored by the company on a complimentary basis, such as free Mediclaim, lunch outings, picnics, etc. If you are planning to deduct from an employee's salary, then you need to get their consent first. In the case of resignation in the middle, will the employee receive a refund? Who is going to manage the funds? You need to answer many questions like the ones above.

The employees can voluntarily form a cooperative credit society, but the organization will have no role in it except for deducting the monthly contributions of employees from their salaries and depositing the same to the cooperative body. The company may have to provide space for the cooperative office.
Welfare Scheme Costs
Any welfare scheme has to be at the company's cost and cannot be at the employees' cost.
