Dear Gouri,
Most project management tools or software are designed for technical projects, which are usually complex. The software is specifically designed to handle this complexity. In contrast, HR consultancy projects are typically non-technical, and complex tools may not be necessary. Given this context, I believe that project management templates in MS Excel should meet your requirements. I came across the following link on Google: https://www.fool.com/the-blueprint/e...ct-management/
If your projects involve database management, you may consider using MS Access.
For online access to your data, creating templates on Google Sheets could be a suitable option. Here are a few links for your reference:
- https://unito.io/blog/google-sheets-project-management/
One advantage of using Google Sheets is the ease of linking different sheets. By linking the master sheet to specific project sheets, any updates made in the project sheets will automatically reflect in the master sheet. Additionally, creating hyperlinks allows easy access to data from past years.
Thanks,

Project management tools for HR
I do not think there are specific tools for project management in HR. However, most of the standard tools can be used for this purpose. You must be able to tweak your processes to match the software.
Popular tools
MS Project is probably the most popular tool. However, it was designed for a single person, so its collaborative capabilities are a little limited. However, in most cases, it will work.
Recently, Trello has become popular for such tasks. Check out their site and their videos to figure out if it meets your requirements.
Sometimes, just a plain task management tool like Microsoft To Do may be enough.
