I worked in a company “A” (Un-Exempted) during the years 1998-2001 in Tamil Nadu (Coimbatore) where my EPF and EPS were contributed. Later, I joined a Gurgaon-based company “B” (Exempted PF Trust) where my EPF portion was handled by that company's PF trust, and the EPS portion was contributed to EPFO Gurgaon. I applied for a transfer from the Coimbatore PF account to the Gurgaon PF Trust account, and the EPF amount got transferred to the PF Trust by submitting Form 13. At that time, I was not keen to verify whether the EPS service history was transferred to the Gurgaon EPS account.
Later, while raising a grievance with EPFO Gurgaon, I came to understand that my previous EPS service history was not received and not updated. They advised me to approach the previous EPFO (Coimbatore) to get the Annexure-K copy. Upon verification of the Annexure-K copy particulars, it was found that the transfer of EPF happened to Gurgaon EPF (EPF Trust), and the transfer record of the EPS service history also showed as the EPF Trust number instead of the valid Gurgaon EPS number. This could be due to the mistake of not mentioning the proper EPS number while submitting Form 13.
Now, Gurgaon EPFO is saying the past EPS service history was not received, and Coimbatore EPFO is saying it was just transferred along with EPF. These transactions were done via offline mode before the UAN concept (i.e., before 2014). Under this situation, am I eligible to apply for one more transfer via Form 13 (only for EPS service history transfer from Coimbatore EPFO of my previous company “A”) to another present company “C” (Un-Exempted) EPF/EPS account which is mapped in UAN? Or can I apply for a Scheme Certificate for my past service from Coimbatore EPFO? Please suggest possible ways to recover and update the missed EPS service history.

To transfer EPS service history from a previous company to a new one, you can follow these steps:
1. Obtain the Annexure-K copy from your previous EPFO office (e.g., Coimbatore EPFO) showing the EPS service history.
2. Contact the current EPFO office (e.g., Gurgaon EPFO) to verify the status of your EPS service history transfer.
3. If the EPS service history was not transferred correctly, you have two options:
- Apply for a re-transfer of EPS service history using Form 13 from the Coimbatore EPFO to your current company (e.g., Company C) EPF/EPS account mapped with UAN.
- Apply for a Scheme Certificate for your past service from the Coimbatore EPFO. This certificate consolidates your service history and can be used when joining a new company.
4. While applying for a re-transfer or Scheme Certificate, ensure all details are accurately filled, including the EPS number if available. If you do not have the EPS number, provide other identifying information such as PF account details.
5. Follow up with both EPFO offices to track the progress of your request and ensure the correct transfer of EPS service history.
It's essential to maintain communication with the EPFO offices and submit the necessary documentation to facilitate a smooth transfer of your EPS service history.
