Hello, I have a doubt regarding my PF withdrawal. I worked in two organizations, and I left my last organization two months ago, and I do not have any near plan to work again. I'm willing to withdraw everything from my PF account. Do I have to merge the two member IDs? If yes, then how as I left my organization already, or can I withdraw without any issue as I completed 60 days.

Dear Colleague,

As you are aware, despite your different PF numbers, your UAN number will be the same. Furthermore, under the Provident Fund, you are also a member of the Employees' Pension Scheme. Though you intend to close your PF for personal reasons, it is advisable to transfer the PF to your latest PF account before seeking settlement. Otherwise, you will lose your service continuity under the Pension Scheme.

If you have decided once and for all not to pursue further employment and plan to close your PF, it is still suggested not to close the Pension Account if you have completed 10 years of service.

In the event of the last employment, there is a waiting period for the settlement of PF, which is 60 days after which you may approach your last employer for PF settlement.

If you have completed 10 years of membership under the Pension Scheme and on attaining 50 years, you are eligible to receive Reduced Pension. If you apply for a pension at the age of 58, you will get a pension at a higher rate for which you must obtain a Scheme Certificate under the Pension Scheme, depending on your current age. If you discuss this with your HR, they will guide you.
