Hi, I have a doubt regarding ESI bills claim. I visited an ESI hospital for leg surgery for my father. They checked and referred us to a private hospital (Medicover Hospital) stating that they would not perform this type of surgery. I returned to the ESI hospital, and they referred us to another private hospital (Virinchi). He was admitted for two days and then discharged with a note stating they would not perform the surgery. As the leg injury was severe, I took him to a private hospital (Care) where the surgery was successfully performed.

However, when trying to claim the bills at the ESI dispensary, they are requesting an income certificate showing an annual amount of 60k. How is this possible for an IT employee? Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how to address these issues?

To address the issue of providing an income certificate of 60k for an ESI medical bills claim as an IT employee, you can consider the following steps:

1. Consult HR or Payroll Department: Reach out to your company's HR or Payroll department to obtain an official income certificate or salary statement that reflects the required annual amount.

2. Include All Earnings: Ensure that the income certificate includes all components of your earnings, such as basic salary, allowances, bonuses, and any other income sources.

3. Request a Revised Certificate: If the initial income certificate does not meet the 60k threshold, request a revised one that accurately represents your total annual income.

4. Provide Additional Documentation: If necessary, supplement the income certificate with additional supporting documents, such as bank statements or tax returns, to substantiate your income level.

5. Seek Assistance from ESI Authorities: If you encounter difficulties in obtaining the required income certificate, consider seeking guidance from the ESI authorities or a legal advisor to explore alternative solutions.

By following these steps and ensuring that your income certificate reflects the required amount, you can proceed with your ESI medical bills claim successfully.
