Dear sir,
Under which Act we have to fix minimum wages to workers at Factory which registered under Factories Act, 1948 & Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950.
Based on Which act we need to fix minimum wages to workers at Factory.
To fix minimum wages to workers at Factory,
(i) Do we need to follow minimum wages which is declared under Minimum Wages Act, 1948 & Tamil Nadu Rules, 1953.
(or)
(ii) Do we need to follow minimum wages which is declared under Factories Act, 1948 and Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950.
(or)
(iii) Do we need to follow minimum wages which is declared under Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act, 1947.
We think that minimum wages which is declared under Minimum Wages Act, 1948 & Tamil Nadu Rules, 1953 is applicable to workers at Factory which registered under Factories Act, 1948 & Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950. Is it correct.

Dear colleague,
You don't need to fix minimum wages yourself for your factory at Tamilnadu but just follow the prescribed basic and special allowance ( DA) for each Skill level as notified by the State govt- , Labour dpt.

Yes, you are correct, Thirumurugan.
I think that the schedule appended to the Minimum Wages Act,1948 classifies the establishments falling under the schedule predominantly industry-wise employments only. When a particular industry is engaged in multiple activities such as manufacturing, marketing, selling of its products through its exclusive retail outlets, such of those activities done from its manufactory alone will be covered by the statutory minimum wages applicable to that industry while the sales out-lets coming under the respective State Shops and Establishments Act or any other area like a village would be by the minimum wages applicable to shops and establishments only. In this connection, there is no such general classification as "Employment in Factories".

Central Govt (Finance Minister) announced that EPF contributions of both employee's and employer's portion will be borne by the Govt. Eligibility condition was employees less than 100 and 90% of its employees shall draw less than Rs.15000/= p.m.. As on 02.04.2020 AN there is no clear orders either to EPFO on its own portal or to employers' email ids. Does any body highlight on the latest position
