Hello all!! Some employees asking 5 minutes permission for noon prayer - can we allow or not?

Dear friend, India is a secular country, and we cannot allow any kind of religious activities on business premises. If you give permission to one section of society, another may come up with their own requirements. So, how many sections' requirements will you fulfill? Religion is a personal matter and should be kept at the personal level. It should not spill over into office activities. Allowing this trend could be dangerous. It is not just a question of a short duration but of a doctrine. We must adhere to the doctrine that rejects religion and religious considerations during duty hours.

Nevertheless, what are your lunch break timings? If some individuals are interested, they may choose to spend their break time on prayers. However, this practice should also be discouraged.
