Sick leaves are also called Medical leave. The employer has to provide 12 days per annum of sick leave as per the labor law act. On average, Indians receive 24 days of paid leave a year - 12 casual leaves and 12 sick leaves. Leave structuring is based on the company's leave policy; it may differ for each company.
