I am currently working in a public sector bank but have now been selected for state civil services. However, I could not apply for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview since the call letter did not mention it. But during document verification, an NOC is required. I have given a three months' resignation notice to the bank, which will be completed in a few days. What should I do now? If I receive a relieving letter, will it be sufficient?

You have not mentioned whether your resignation has been accepted and if you have been notified of the notice period and last date of duty. If you have completed the notice period fully as required, there should not be any issue with your relieving. You need to contact your bank's HR to confirm your status. You are entitled to a relieving letter as well as a No Due/No Objection certificate, which are necessary for you to join the civil services. It is advisable to reach out to the branch manager/HR and obtain these documents promptly. Without these documents, you may face challenges in starting your new job. Take action promptly and decisively; avoid unnecessary delays.
