I joined Tech Mahindra with fake experience. However, I was asked to resign due to a low rating. Can I file a case for wrongful termination and claim compensation for the year I was jobless? My manager took my code and submitted it under his name, another person's name, and mine. I did almost 70% of the total coding work. The manager mentioned that I was the fastest coder among my colleagues. Nevertheless, I made mistakes that he had to rectify during code reviews. I am curious about what he was correcting. He only pointed out mistakes to me three times. He also mentioned that he wanted the code to look beautiful for the client and sometimes asked me to change variable names to enhance their appearance. On one occasion, I finished one month's work in just six days. Additionally, I participated in coding competitions and achieved rankings between 30 to 90 out of 20,000 applicants, which included individuals from IITs and IISC.

"He who comes into equity must come with clean hands."
The issue here is debatable. Can you prove you did a good job but still were downgraded and given a poor rating? Your fake experience will go against you. Anyway, if you want to file a case and spend money and time, then consult a local lawyer and fully explain the problem to him and all relevant factors.

You have not mentioned whether you were on a probation period. Obtaining employment with a fake certificate is misconduct. An employer can terminate services during probation if the performance is unsatisfactory. However, as suggested above, you may file a case if you so desire.
