As per the offer letter and policy, if a person is separated during the probation period, they have to serve a notice period of 15 days or else accept a compromise with the basic pay for 15 days. I agreed to the latter point with my employer, but they are still not relieving me and are creating small, unwanted issues.

Is this legally right, and what steps should be taken?

Please elaborate your query. what are the issues they are creating. Are they not accepting your resignation or asking you to serve an extended notice as against mentioned in the appointment letter?
