Employee Rejoining and EPF Contribution Issue

One of our employees had left the service and withdrew his EPF amount (full settlement). After a few months, he rejoined our organization. When I attempted to register his name in EPF, his previous ID was still active. Consequently, I contributed to his account using the same number without knowing that he had withdrawn his EPF earlier. Now, he has left the service again. Upon trying to submit his EPF claim form, the EPFO informed us that his member ID claim has already been settled.

How to Claim the Next Contribution

Now, how can we claim his next contribution? Please guide me if anyone has knowledge about this.

In this situation, to claim the next contribution for the rejoining employee whose previous EPF claim has been settled, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Contact the EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation) office in Noida, India, where the EPF account is maintained.
2. Explain the situation to the EPFO officials, detailing that the employee had withdrawn the EPF amount previously, rejoined the organization, and his previous claim has been settled.
3. Provide any necessary documentation or proof of the employee's rejoining and the previous EPF withdrawal.
4. Request the EPFO to allocate a new member ID for the rejoining employee to facilitate the contribution of the next EPF installment.
5. Once the new member ID is assigned, ensure that all future EPF contributions are made under this new ID to avoid any discrepancies in the future.
6. Regularly monitor the EPF account to confirm that the contributions are being correctly allocated to the new member ID.

By following these steps and maintaining clear communication with the EPFO office, you can successfully claim the next EPF contribution for the rejoining employee.
