First of all, are you on a 5-day working schedule? When is the weekly day off? Why is there a salary deduction with no paid leave? What is the nature of the leave taken (CL/EL)? You took leave for the last 4 days of Feb '18; does it mean the 23rd, 26th, 27th, and 28th of February? Please clarify.

Internationally, one is supposed to work 8 hours a day and a maximum of 26 days in a month. One needs rest from labor for effective input and output. If you work 30 days in a month, how many hours do you work in a day?
@KK!HR is asking if there is no paid leave in your company (plus other information he wants to know). Please provide more details on the points raised so that experts can respond appropriately.

If your taking AL from 25 to 28 Feb and returning back to work on 01 Mar, then your Basic should be deducted for 4 days only not 6 Days.

It seems that member has taken leave on 23, 26,27 & 28 Feb 2018. Which includes two days off. Affix or Suffix of the holiday, attendance is required or it will be treated as leave. Thanks,

Dear colleague,
Eligible employees covered under the Shops and Establishments Act in Maharashtra get paid privilege leave for working days, which means any holidays falling prior to, during, and at the end of the leave period are not counted as PL (as per a recent amendment). If your 4 days of leave were PL, it is paid leave, and no deduction on account of holidays can be made. The general practice is to pay uniformly at the same monthly rate, regardless of 31, 30, or 28/29 days in a month. Your company is wrong in deducting your salary for 6 days.

I think they calculate your salary for 24 days as you work there from 1 Feb to 24 Feb. After that, you got leave from your office. The company makes your salary for 24 days only. They calculate your salary based on 30 days instead of 28 days.
