Resolving Unsettled Dues and Performance Incentives Post-Employee Resignation - CiteHR

Hi, my friend worked in a company for more than two years. In December 2017, he resigned from the company. He forfeited the notice period amount himself as he was unable to serve due to his ill health. However, the company distributed the performance appraisal for 2016-17 in November 2017 (which it was supposed to do in April 2017) when he was still active with the company. Yet, the company has not provided his appraisal dues. The top management is also ignoring his grievances. What should he do? If the performance incentive is linked to 2016-17, which the company was supposed to give in April 2017, should he also not claim it? Please help with your suggestion.

Yes, your friend has a rightful claim for performance incentive for 2016-17. He should take up for payment and persistently follow up until payment is realized. As he has resigned on account of ill-health, he should try to evoke sympathy. He may appeal to the higher management listing out his achievements and accomplishments, and also submit medical papers.
