Hi all, my query is, are women employees eligible for earned/privilege/paid leave during or after the maternity leave duration?

For example, an employee who has worked for 1 year is eligible for privilege/earned/paid leaves of that time period, which is credited monthly or yearly. However, if a female employee who has availed/will avail maternity leave during the year, will she still earn paid/privilege/earned leaves during the maternity leave period, or will she only be eligible for the duration she had worked with the company?

A woman employee is eligible to avail leave due to her in continuation to maternity leave. No leave is earned during the period of maternity leave. But leave at credit could be availed.

No leave will accrue on period of maternity leave but for purpose of eligibility (in respect of working days) this will be considered as period worked.

No, the employee is not eligible for Earned Leave for the days she is on maternity leave. Leaves are always counted based on the physical presence of an employee, and on that basis, it should be credited.

Secondly, the employee can merge her Earned Leave with Maternity Leave.

What about Sick Leave that the female employee had already accrued? Can she merge Sick Leave with Maternity Leave? Also, do sick leaves and earned leaves lapse during/after maternity leave?
