Dear All, I need advice from a senior person here in this forum. I am facing a mental harassment issue in my organization. I am under a bond for 7 months and then have a 3-month notice period. Additionally, I am not in a capacity to continue my job. Should I pay an amount of Rs. 50k to the company and leave with an experience letter, or should I abscond and risk legal actions against me? Will I be able to get a job without these letters, as nobody may consider me? I am going through a dilemma, and on this World Mental Health Day, I am seeking peace of mind. I have lost confidence in my abilities and seek advice from all of you. Thank you.

Thank you, as I completed 1.4 years and still needs to complete 8 months+3 months notice period. Is there any alternative options?, is bond legal?

Employment Bond and Notice Pay
Paying the bond amount and notice pay amount are terms and conditions of your employment. If you do not pay or abide by the terms, your employer will not issue a relieving order and the experience letter. You know your employer better than us; absconding is not a solution to your issue. Put in your resignation on health grounds and request your management to adjust the bond amount from your full and final settlement. If that is not sufficient, request to waive the balance amount. It's up to you to decide if you can manage your future employment without the experience and release letter.

Dear Friend,
I have understood your problem. What I can suggest is that you cannot change the situation, but there is a way out to reduce your working period there. When 3 months are left, resign and serve the notice for 3 months. This way, you will be able to save yourself.
