Hi All,
I left an organization last month and joined a PSU. Although my ex-company provided me with a relieving letter stating my last working day, which overlapped by about 3 months. Now, my ex-employer is stating that it is company's policy and they cannot do anything about it. My present company is not concerned with past data at the moment. However, I will soon be joining a Grade A job in the GOI where, during the application process, I mentioned my work experience with both companies. Could this potentially create any issues?

All the PSU will verify all the previous employers' particulars, so overlapping of dates is a problem. The appointing authority should have noticed in PSU this overlapping of dates while appointing you. However, it is better to request your ex-employer to change the dates. But if you were a consultant in both firms, overlapping is allowed.
