Hi, admin PRATIMA,
I joined a private firm in January 2017 in Gujarat, and ESIC deductions started in the same month. Now, I am six months pregnant, and my delivery date is in October 2017. I have been working in the same firm for almost six months and wish to continue working. I would like to know if I am eligible for maternity leave and how to calculate the required working days to qualify. I plan to start my leave from September 1, 2017. Please guide me on the eligibility criteria in a simple way.
Thank you.

Since you’ve worked for more than 80 days in the establishment in a period of 12 months from your probable date of delivery, you are entitled to maternity benefits.
