Dear Seniors,
Please clarify my doubts regarding EPF calculations.
Case a)
An employee with first-time employment whose EPF wages (Basic+DA) are more than 15,000. Shall I be covered under EPF? If yes, why? I need a supporting document or statement.
Case b)
An employee with existing membership of EPF, who joined a new company with EPF wages exceeding 15,000. Shall I be covered under EPF? If yes, why? I need a supporting document or statement.
Case c)
An employee with a withdrawn account due to non-employment for 3 months, withdrew money from the EPFO, and joined a new company with EPF wages exceeding 15,000. Shall I be covered under EPF? If yes, why? I need a supporting document or statement.
I would appreciate an update on the above doubts with relevant proofs.
Look forward,

You seem to be unaware of PF-related formalities when a new employee joins. You have to ask the new employee to fill out Form 11. Based on the information provided, make a decision. Please refrain from posting hypothetical questions.

I believe you didn't understand my question. Well, I am aware of Form-11; this is for your information. My question pertains to the three cases mentioned above, and I need to substantiate them with relevant proofs to present to my auditors. For example, I require a similar notification that outlines the procedure to be followed, such as EPF wage enhancement from 6500 to 15k. In this case, it does not imply that I am unfamiliar with the process, but rather that I require supporting evidence for the statements to satisfy my auditors.
I am looking forward to suitable solutions without deviating from the topic. Thank you, Mr. Shrikant, for your contributions.

You need not cover an employee with no previous EPF membership under EPF whose entry EPF wages are more than the ceiling of Rs15,000. However, please note that EPF is a beneficial legislation, and there is no harm in covering him under EPF at least up to the ceiling, i.e., Rs15,000. What is your company policy?
Once covered under EPF, the member will continue to remain a member until he withdraws his PF accumulations. Even if an EPF-covered employee's EPF wages increase beyond the ceiling of Rs15,000, contributions should still be paid. There is no harm in paying based on actual EPF wages.
For your question number 3, please refer to the reply provided in Sl #1. The employer must obtain EPF Form #11 (new) and act according to the information provided therein, as pointed out by the honored member Mr. Srikant. Furthermore, it is surprising that your auditors are not aware of the EPF Act. The EPF wage ceiling was increased to Rs15,000 from September 2014.
