Ensuring Minimum Wage Compliance for Employees Deployed Across Locations - CiteHR

Hi,

Please provide your input. Our office is in Delhi, and our branches are in West Bengal & Bihar. The minimum wage for skilled manpower in Bihar & West Bengal is lower compared to Delhi. Currently, we are assigning a few individuals from West Bengal & Bihar to Delhi for a 2-month period. Will we need to adjust their salary according to the minimum wage of the new deployment location?

Furthermore, the applicability of minimum wage will be considered for transfers or deputations.

Minimum Wages as per the location has to be given. For Manpower transferred from Bihar/West Bengal in your case, You have to give the Minimum Wages prevailing in Delhi. Hope it is clear.

Are you paying them Deputation Allowance or Disturbance Allowance, or in any form compensating the employees to meet the additional costs they would incur? Where is their payroll and salary payment being made, in Delhi or in other states? If there is a system in your establishment for paying House Rent Allowance (HRA) & City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), these allowances will also be revised.
