I would like to know if the Employer is issuing Notice for 2 months, and during Notice period if the employee takes leave for attending interview whether the salary will be deducted ?

Hi Jyothi, This is upon employers discretion, either they will increase your notice period by the number of days you were on leave during notice period or they may deduct your salary for the same.

Normally, leaves are not granted during the notice period, apart from situations of exigency where leave is necessary. In such a scenario, as rightly mentioned by Asna Siddiqui, it is at the employer's discretion either to extend the notice period for such leave or to deduct an amount equivalent to the leave from the employee, as mentioned in the Termination clause, in order to facilitate a smooth transition upon the employee's departure.
