Queries Regarding Factory Act and Punjab Shop & Establishment Act
Can anyone give me clear replies to the following queries?
1. Should the deduction of the notice period be based on basic or gross salary?
2. Should the encashment of earned leaves (ELs) be based on basic or gross salary?
3. Is the carry forward of ELs mandatory, or can ELs be only encashed every year without carry forwarding?
4. In a company registered under the Factory Act, do the rules for white-collar employees differ from those for workers?
5. For such a company, will maternity rules/benefits follow the Factory Act or Punjab Shop & Establishment Act?
6. Is compensatory off mandatory under any act, or is there no specific act for white-collar or managerial staff?
Thanks,
Dolly
