Recently, I was referred by someone in a company for a job that was not publicly advertised. They called me for my first interview with the tech team. After two days, they called me for a second interview with the head of the department and asked me to bring a copy of documents. They asked me to fill out a form and later sent my documents with the form to HR. All they said was "We will inform you soon..."

Now it has been 3 days, and I haven't heard anything from them. Should I keep any hope, or does it mean NO? I don't know why HR is taking so long...

Most of the time, everything starts from the HR department and goes towards the interview process. With me, it was the first interview, and later it went to the HR department, which is quite unusual as well.

It is observed that your query is in the context of Pakistan. The practices and labor laws are different for the two countries. I am replying in the Indian context. Actually, three days is not too much time for you to start worrying about the result of the interview. You know that after the interview, the HR department will decide your salary, placement, department, on-the-job training, orientation, database, etc., because their department is responsible for the manpower planning of the organization.

My advice is to wait for another week's time and then inquire from them about the outcome of the interview.
