Understanding the Applicable Shop & Establishment Act

Function and business are running under an SPV with the West Bengal Government in West Bengal, and the registered office is located in West Bengal. However, the corporate head office is situated in Bangalore. All employees working in West Bengal are on the payroll of the head office and receive their salaries from Mumbai. The company has a trade license for its operations in West Bengal.

Which Shop & Establishment Act will be applicable in this scenario? Is it mandatory to register the West Bengal office under the Shops & Establishments Act with the West Bengal authority?

Geographical location of the establishment from where it actually functions is the ultimate criterion for applicability of the Shops and Establishments Acts.

In the first place, when the registered office is located in West Bengal, trade license having been obtained from West Bengal, and all employees are working in West Bengal, how the question has arisen, I am not able to understand.

Secondly, what do you mean by "Mother Corporate Office"? Is it the promoters' office?
