I served in the organization for approximately two years and had to leave due to personal reasons. There were several discussions between me and management about staying with the organization, which led to mental harassment. Finally, I submitted a written resignation on the 20th (from the company's email) which they never accepted. I sent a final email to them on the 31st stating that I will not be coming to the office going forward, and they can call me whenever any help is required. The company never issued me the salary for the entire month, and they are not issuing me a relieving letter (which is very important), stating that I have not served the notice period and have not done a proper handover. They are saying that I am not eligible for the same.

Kindly suggest a way forward.

Understanding Relieving Letters and Employment Status

If the company has not accepted your resignation and relieved you, you are still considered an employee on their rolls, albeit absconding from work. In such a scenario, how can they issue a relieving letter? Each organization follows a different procedure for handing over and relieving. If you have not followed these procedures, you will not be authorized to receive a relieving letter.

It may be due to the employee's arrogance that the company has not been lenient, or it could be the act of the employee resigning despite management's requests, or any other reason, including procedural lapses. To correct this, you need to present yourself before them, complete the handing over formalities, and get relieved as per their norms. I don't see any other easy way to resolve this.
